ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) distribution

CARREFOUR (France) has concluded an alliance with the North American department store chain SEARS and the software publisher ORACLE, creating a joint venture called GLOBALNETXCHANGE, which will enable network members to make on-line purchases. Initially, CARREFOUR and SEARS will share control of the company, with ORACLE owing a minority share.
