As expected, PAI - PARIBAS AFFAIRES INDUSTRIELLES, and its ally DANONE, on the one hand, and NABISCO, associated with HICKS, MUSE, TATE & FURST, on the other, have agreed to share UNITED BISCUITS, group they were coveting. They will put in a joint bid of £1.25 bn. NABISCO would have a 26% stake in the new structure, MUSE, SINVEM and PAI sharing the remaining in three thirds.
