Hans Dalborg, managing director of the Finnish-Swedish group MERITANORDBANKEN has declared that the bid for the Norwegian bank CHRISTIANA BANK, in which it already has a 9.9% stake, would stand despite its rejection by the State shareholder (one third of the capital). This bid, valuing CHRISTIANA at EUR 3 bn, runs until 31 January. See EI of 17 December.
