Tomas Anker Christensen appointed Principal Adviser and EU Special Coordinator for Global Clean Transition within DG ENER

17/07/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 17 July, the European Commission appointed Tomas Anker Christensen as Principal Adviser and EU Special Coordinator for the Global Clean Transition within the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER). This department develops and supports the implementation of the Commission’s energy policies, focusing on providing Europe with secure, sustainable, and affordable energy. The date this decision will come into effect will be determined later. Tomas Anker Christensen, a Danish national, was a member of the cabinet of the Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen. (SP)
