26/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – The meeting of the college of Commissioners, scheduled for Wednesday 1 July, has been cancelled because of a scheduling conflict and the lack of maturity of certain items initially included on the agenda. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will travel to the Caucasus at the beginning of next week before the whole college goes on to Ireland on 2 and 3 July to meet the Irish government as part of the launch of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU. The European strategies on livestock farming and plant proteins will be adopted on Tuesday 7 July (see EUROPE 13893/7, 13893/6). The legislative package reforming the European rules governing public procurement has been postponed until 9 September, while the communication on the defence internal market no longer appears in the indicative timetable of the agendas for the college’s forthcoming meetings.
