18/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – Ambassadors of the Member States to the EU (Coreper) approved, without discussion, on Wednesday 17 June, the provisional agreement with the European Parliament on the package simplifying defence legislation, reached on 10 June (see EUROPE 13885/22). For its part, the European Parliament committees responsible for the matter are expected to vote on the agreement in the coming days. The texts must now undergo legal and linguistic revision. They may then be formally adopted by the co-legislators (EU Council and European Parliament) “in the coming months”, according to a European source. On the European Parliament side, the vote is expected during the September plenary session. (CG)
