28/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission is of the opinion that after two years of implementation, the DMA (2022/1925) remains fit for purpose. This regulatory framework has opened up “new opportunities for businesses and developers, while giving users greater control over their experience and their devices, as well as access to more varied and innovative digital products and services”, said the European Union institution on Tuesday 28 April in its first assessment of the application of the act. The Commission has also published a study on the technical feasibility and level of consumer and business demand for interoperability of designated social networks. In its view, there is no clear demand for greater interoperability between these social networks.
