On Tuesday 28 April, the European Commission announced a series of new appointments at the head of several of its departments.
Ditte Juul Jørgensen (Danish) has been appointed Director General of the Directorate General for Trade and Economic Security (DG TRADE). Juul Jørgensen will take up her new position on 1 June.
On the same date, the Frenchwoman Céline Gauer will become Director General of the Directorate General for Energy (DG ENER).
At the Secretariat-General of the European Commission, Germany’s Sabine Weyand (currently Director General at DG TRADE) will take up the post of Senior Adviser for European Strategic Partnerships.
The European Commission has also appointed the UK’s Stephen Collins as Director of the European Research Executive Agency (REA).
Finally, Germany’s Andreas Stein has been appointed Director of Justice Policy in the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST). (Original version in French by Bernard Denuit)
