18/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – Marko Primorac, former Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance since 2022, was appointed Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) on Wednesday 18 March. He succeeds Teresa Czerwińska (Polish) on the Bank’s Management Committee. He is the first Croatian Vice-President to sit on the EIB, the Bank said in a press release. As one of the eight vice-presidents, Mr Primorac will represent Croatia, Hungary and Poland. Before joining the Croatian government, Mr Primorac was Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Zagreb. He has also worked for a number of international financial institutions, including the EIB, where he held positions on the Board of Directors. (CG)
