Brussels, 27/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – According to a press release, the European Commission approved a €1.1 billion French State aid scheme to support cleantech manufacturing capacity on Friday 27 February. This measure will contribute to the transition towards a carbon-neutral economy. This scheme was approved under the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF), which was adopted by the European Commission on 25 June 2025. The plan encourages investment in increasing the production capacity of net-zero technologies such as solar technologies, offshore and onshore wind technologies, heat pumps, and battery technologies. It also covers the costs related to specific main components of these technologies as well as the associated critical raw materials. The aid will take the form of a tax credit. The measure will be available throughout the entirety of French territory, and aid may be granted until 31 December 2028. (SP)
