Brussels, 27/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Investment Bank, together with the European Investment Fund (EIF) as part of the EIB Group, delivered almost €1.5 billion in financing for Ukraine in 2025 – a record since the start of the Russian invasion, the Group announced on Thursday 26 February. In 2025, financing went towards energy security and resilience, rebuilding essential services, connectivity and European integration, as well as support for the economy and the private sector. “In 2026, energy resilience will remain a top priority, alongside expanding support for the private sector, including risk-sharing instruments”, according to the Group, which will also strengthen its support for social and municipal infrastructure, connectivity and essential services, while increasing its technical and advisory assistance to help Kyiv meet EU accession requirements and align its investments with European standards.
