In its updated survey, European Institute for Gender Equality confirms gap in distribution of unpaid care work

26/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 February, the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) published the second part of its survey on gender disparities in unpaid care and personal and social activities, the so-called ‘care’ field. Carried out in 2024 in the 27 Member States among more than 65,000 people aged between 16 and 74, it updates data on the distribution of ‘care’ within households.
