The vote of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties (LIBE) on the March 2025 Returns Regulation, originally scheduled for 24 February, has been postponed to 9 March, several parliamentary sources confirmed on Thursday 12 February. This timetable change follows negotiations which continued during a meeting between the main rapporteur for the text, Malik Azmani (Renew Europe, Dutch), and the shadow rapporteurs, without however reaching a final agreement.
