Advocate General of EU Court of Justice proposes cancelling unfreezing of EU funds for Hungary

The Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), Tamara Ćapeta, proposes annulling the European Commission’s decision (C(2023)9014) of December 2023 allowing the release of €10.2 billion in cohesion policy funds intended for Hungary (see EUROPE B13369A10), in an Opinion delivered on Thursday 12 February (Case C-225/24).
