EU Council develops its approach to seat selection process for future European authority EUCA

Brussels, 05/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 4 February, the Member States’ representatives to the EU Council (Coreper) finalised their approach to the seat selection process for the future EU Customs Authority (EUCA). The Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council will now begin discussions with European Parliament to present this approach. Coreper will revisit the EU Council’s internal procedure at a future meeting.
