European ministers back proposal to amend organic farming regulation

On Monday 26 January, the European agriculture ministers gave their broad support to the European Commission’s proposal to amend the organic farming regulation (see EUROPE B13775A24).

At the heart of the discussions is the implementation of the Herbaria ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union, handed down in 2025, which strictly regulates the use of the EU organic logo on imported products.
