The quantity of electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market has increased by 78% in the EU, according to a report published by Eurostat on Thursday 30 October. In 2015, this represented 18.1 kg per person, compared with 32.2 kg in 2023.
While 32.2 kg of new electrical and electronic equipment was placed on the market per person in 2023, 11.6 kg of waste electrical and electronic equipment per inhabitant was collected in the EU in the same year.
