EU will continue its efforts to secure release of Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, promises Kajsa Ollongren

31/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – The EU Special Representative for Human Rights, Kajsa Ollongren, has promised the Bahraini-Danish human rights activist Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, in a letter to him (https://aeur.eu/f/j8u), that the EU, in close cooperation with the Danish government, will continue its diplomatic efforts to secure his release and return to his family.
