Council of EU validates renewal of sanctions linked to annexation of Crimea

16/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 16 June, the Council of the European Union approved the renewal of the restrictive measures decided in 2014 following Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, until 23 June 2026. These sanctions include an embargo on imports of products originating in Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as restrictions on European exports of certain technologies to Crimea, notably in the fields of transport, telecommunications and energy.
