04/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Union and Moldova decided to step up cooperation between all modes of transport at the second transport dialogue in Chisinau on Thursday 3 April. Co-chaired by Vladimir Bolea, Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, and Magda Kopczyńska, the European Commission’s Director General for Mobility and Transport, the dialogue also looked at future initiatives. In particular, participants discussed strengthening strategic connectivity, building on the success of the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes (see EUROPE 13379/31), as well as closer integration of the EU and Moldovan markets and alignment of transport regulations. They also discussed infrastructure development and Moldova’s plans to establish multimodal logistics centres, as well as the integration of digital technologies in transport. (AD)
