28/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – Apóstolos Tzitzikóstas, Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, presented the European Mobility Week award to the city of Bologna and the Czech association Pěšky městem with the award for action in support of mobility, on Thursday 28 March, at the European Mobility Week awards ceremony. The two prizes encourage awareness of sustainable urban mobility and reward outstanding initiatives implemented during European Mobility Week in 2024. The jury praised Bologna for making sustainable mobility more accessible through a series of car-free days during Mobility Week in September 2024, information stands and educational activities. Pěšky městem impressed with a national campaign to promote active mobility involving 501 schools in 338 Czech towns. (AD)
