‘omnibus’- EU Council approves postponement of directives on corporate sustainability reporting and on corporate due diligence

One month to the day after the European Commission’s proposal, the Council has already adopted its position on the first text of the ‘omnibus’ package, on Wednesday 26 March. It endorsed the initial proposal to postpone by two years the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and by one year the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
