EU Council ready to negotiate with European Parliament on new macro-financial assistance of €500 million for Jordan

26/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 26 March, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) confirmed the negotiating position of the Council of the EU regarding macro-financial assistance of €500 million that the EU will provide to Jordan. This aid, which will last two and a half years, will be granted in the form of preferential loans (maximum maturity of 35 years) disbursed in three instalments.
