05/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission is organising a day dedicated to the Water Resilience Strategy on Thursday 6 March. The event is part of the consultation process for the development of the strategy, which is due to be published in spring 2025. The two calls for evidence from stakeholders launched by the European Commission at the beginning of February closed on Tuesday 4 March (see EUROPE 13573/9). On Thursday 6 March, the European Commissioner for the Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, Jessika Roswall, will give the opening address. The Director of DG Environment, Florika Fink-Hooijer, will give the closing speech. Sessions dedicated to the main themes of the future strategy (the water cycle, water efficiency, clean and affordable water for all, etc.) will punctuate the day. Meanwhile, the European Parliament is making progress on an own-initiative report (see EUROPE 13583/7). (FS)
