European Insurance and Reinsurance Federation calls on EIOPA to take advantage of national tools to raise awareness of climate risks

The European insurance and reinsurance federation, Insurance Europe, supports efforts to improve climate risk mitigation and called on the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) to take advantage of existing national tools on Monday 3 March. The federation responded to EIOPA’s proposal to launch an EU-wide risk awareness and prevention measures tool to enhance homeowners’ understanding of the impact of climate change on their properties (see EUROPE B13528A18).
