Automotive, Henna Virkkunen hosts working group on sector's technological and digital transformation

18/02/25 (Agence Europe) – The Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Henna Virkkunen, hosted a round table discussion as part of the strategic dialogue with the European automotive sector on Tuesday 18 February. The discussion focused on how the EU can support industry's competitiveness and innovation while ensuring that the benefits of digitisation are shared by all. Participants discussed key topics related to the technological and digital transformation of the sector, including the European digital vehicle, cooperative, connected and automated driving, and access to data and critical technologies. This meeting comes after the one on skills and social considerations (see EUROPE 13579/29) and the one on the transition to clean mobility (see EUROPE 13577/36). (AD)
