31/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 October, the European Commission published a call for projects as part of the Creative Europe programme, with a €5 million budget, to support cultural and creative organisations, artists and professionals in Ukraine. This call aims to mitigate the current and future effects of the war in Ukraine through three thematic projects. Initiatives will include support for Ukrainian artists to co-create with their peers and present their work in Ukraine and other Creative Europe countries. They will also encourage access to culture and heritage for Ukrainians, particularly displaced persons, in a spirit of integration and social cohesion. Finally, they will prepare for the post-war reconstruction of the Ukrainian cultural sector, strengthening its resilience through networking and skills development activities.
