European Commission publishes export control guidelines for cyber-surveillance sector

17/10/24 (Agence Europe)Three years after the entry into force of the regulation on the control of exports of dual-use goods, on Wednesday 16 October the European Commission published guidelines for exporters of products linked to cyber-surveillance. The document helps to assess whether the goods pose a risk in terms of internal repression or serious human rights violations in the countries that import them. It also details which products can be included in the definition of cyber-surveillance. The same applies to the definition of serious human rights violations.
