European Union condemns massacre in Pont Sondé

07/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Saturday 5 October, the European Union condemned the massacre in Pont Sondé the previous Thursday, attributed to the Gran Grif gang and marking a new escalation of extreme violence in Haiti. According to the UN, 70 people lost their lives. The EU has called for the full deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) to help the Haitian National Police in its fight against gangs and to re-establish the rule of law (see EUROPE B13377A6)....
