European Commission registers French ‘Loraine’ wines as protected geographical indication

07/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 7 October, the European Commission announced that it had added ‘Lorraine’ wines to the Community register of protected geographical indications (PGIs). The ‘Lorraine’ PGI is reserved for quality sparkling white, rosé and red wines produced in the north-east of France, in the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse and Moselle.
