On Monday 30 September, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) debated the proposal for a directive on the transparency of third-country lobbying, part of the ‘Defence of Democracy’ package presented by the European Commission in December 2023 (see EUROPE B13312A15).
