04/09/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 4 September, the European Commission opened a call for entries for the third EU Award for Gender Equality Champions. Aimed at universities and research organisations (public or private) in the EU or in countries associated with the EU’s research framework programme, Horizon Europe, this prize highlights outstanding achievements arising from plans for gender equality. Three categories are proposed: Sustainable Gender Equality Champions, Newcomer Gender Equality Champions, and Inclusive Gender Equality Champions, who work on issues of intersectionality between gender and other social factors.
