11/06/24 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 10 June, the European Commission announced the dates for the European Week of Sport 2024, which will be held from 23 to 30 September. This annual event aims to promote physical activity throughout Europe. The 2024 edition will highlight the values of the European Union and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games via the ‘#BeActive’ campaign. Sport is highlighted as a vehicle for inclusion, education, equality, sustainability, solidarity and democracy. The opening ceremony will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on 23 September.
