European Commission submits proposals for new EU/Cape Verde fisheries agreement

The European Commission adopted, on Thursday 6 June, proposals for a new EU/Cape Verde fisheries agreement. The new protocol covers a period of five years from the date of the provisional application (see EUROPE B12430A23).

The aim of this agreement is to grant fishing opportunities to EU vessels in the fishing zones located in Cabo Verde waters, in accordance with scientific advice and the recommendations of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT).
