16/05/24 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 16 May, Luxembourg submitted a request to revise its national post-Covid-19 recovery plan to include a ‘REPowerEU’ chapter aimed at accelerating the energy transition and reducing dependence on Russian fossil fuels. This chapter includes a new reform to promote sustainable biogas production and new investment in energy efficiency, renewable energies and zero-emission mobility. There are also grants for people renovating their homes or buying electric cars and bikes, and for businesses installing solar panels on their premises. The revised Luxembourg plan will receive €241 million in the form of grants alone. Further information (in French): https://aeur.eu/f/c8p (MB)
