05/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 5 April, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) published a report on Dutch gas transmission tariffs for the period 2025-2029 for the Dutch national regulator, Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM). ACER is proposing improvements to bring it more into line with the Network Code on Harmonised Transmission Tariff Structures (NC TAR). These suggestions include the comparison of the proposed methodology with the capacity-weighted distance methodology, the publication of a representation of the network structure, the incorporation of contracted capacity forecasts for 2025-2029, an assessment of the cost allocation comparing different scenarios and the justification of the proposed discount at LNG entry points. The ACM must adopt a new gas pricing methodology by 14 July, taking these recommendations into account. To see the report: https://aeur.eu/f/bne (PLD)
