European Commission raises €7 billion in EU bonds to finance ‘Next Generation EU’ projects

21/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 20 March, the Commission announced that it had raised €7 billion in bonds as part of its third syndicated operation of 2024. The €7 billion, which related to a new ‘Next Generation EU’ green bond, will be used to finance green projects as part of Member States’ national recovery and resilience plans.
