EU and African Union extend their strategic partnership on health

On Wednesday 20 March, at the end of a conference in Brussels, the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council, the European Commission and the African Union (AU) announced a number of commitments aimed at strengthening public health and health sovereignty in Africa, through the EU’s Global Gateway strategy (see EUROPE B13364A20).
