On Wednesday 20 March, the European Commission unveiled guidelines for the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence (AI). These guidelines have been drawn up in collaboration with the countries of the European Research Area and stakeholders in the research ecosystem.
They are based on principles already formulated in the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity and the Guidelines for Trustworthy AI: reliability, honesty, respect and accountability.
