European Commission fines Apple €1.84 billion for abusing its dominant position in music streaming market
Brussels, 04/03/2024 (Agence Europe)

The European Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager, announced, on Monday 4 March, that following its investigation and two statements of objections (see EUROPE B12710A1), the European Commission concluded that Apple had abused its dominant position on the market for the distribution of music streaming apps to iPhone and iPad users (‘iOS users’) through its App Store. The European Commission has therefore imposed a fine of €1.84 billion on the multinational company Apple.
