Member States agree to establish Operation Aspides

09/02/24 (Agence Europe) – EU Member States have approved the establishment of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy military operation in the Red Sea, Aspides, a European source confirmed to EUROPE on Friday 9 February. The mission is due to be officially launched at the Foreign Affairs Council on 19 February.
