€26 million in new aid for refugees and host communities in Turkey

02/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 2 February, the European Commission announced a €26 million humanitarian aid package to help vulnerable refugees and their host communities in Turkey. The south-east of Turkey, which is home to many refugees from Syria, was hit by a devastating earthquake in early 2023 (see EUROPE B13126A14). €4 million will be allocated to projects that facilitate education in emergency situations.
