Digital platform workers – Belgium’s new proposals better received at EU Council by countries opposed to provisional agreement reached with European Parliament

On Tuesday 16 January, the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union’s first draft compromise on digital platform workers received some support, particularly from certain countries that had strongly opposed the agreement reached between the Spanish Presidency and the European Parliament on 22 December (see EUROPE B13327A12).
