European Parliament wants closer cooperation in context of global and regional geopolitical change

On Wednesday 17 January in Strasbourg, MEPs voted 543 in favour, 42 against and 44 abstentions in favour of the report by Karsten Lucke (S&D, German), recognising the “need” to update the EU-Central Asia strategy in the light of profound geopolitical changes.
