Following elections, European Commission continues to count on Netherlands’ strong participation in EU

23/11/2023 (Agence Europe) – While refusing to comment on the result of the Dutch general election, which saw Geert Wilders’ far-right PVV party come out well ahead, European Commission spokesman Eric Mamer said on Thursday 23 November that the Commission was continuing “to count on the Netherlands’ strong participation in the EU”.
