Member States ready to negotiate with European Parliament on revision of Long-term Residents Directive

Member State representatives adopted, on Thursday 23 November, their negotiating mandate for the directive on third-country nationals who are long-term residents in the EU.

While the European Parliament adopted its position last March (see EUROPE B13151A7), the Member States took longer to agree on the cumulation of legal residence in several Member States to obtain this long-term resident status.
