European Commission launches public consultation to gather views of citizens and organisations on European Solidarity Corps

14/11/23 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 13 November, the European Commission launched a public consultation aimed at citizens and organisations, to gather their views on the European Solidarity Corps. This is a programme for young people who want to get involved in solidarity activities within the EU and beyond. The public consultation also covers the EU Aid Volunteers Initiative, now part of the European Solidarity Corps. The information gathered will enable the Commission to evaluate the implementation of the programme (the next one will start in 2028) and provide an overview of how measures to strengthen inclusion, simplification and EU added value are progressing. The consultation will run for 12 weeks, until midday on 5 February 2024. (PLD)
