LIFE, European Commission invests €396 million in 171 new projects

On Tuesday 14 November, the European Commission announced the approval of 171 new environmental and climate projects in the European Union, with funding of €396 million via the LIFE programme. With co-financing, total investment amounts to more than €722 million, representing a significant increase of 28.5% on the previous year.

These initiatives are divided into four key areas. The first, ‘Nature and Biodiversity’, comprises 29 projects with a total budget of €211 million....
