On Thursday 7 September, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) announced a €140 million private placement by one of its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), the EIT InnoEnergy KIC.
EIT InnoEnergy was created to mobilise private and public resources to invest in the energy transition.
With this latest round of investment, EIT InnoEnergy has underlined its intention to stimulate the growth of its portfolio companies and its ambition to generate €110 billion in revenues by 2030 through a model of public-private partnerships. This investment cycle involves major companies in the industry, finance, training and digital sectors.
Partners in this investment round include new and existing shareholders such as: Société Générale, Santander CIB, Renault Group, Stena Recycling, Siemens Financial Services, Schneider Electric, Capgemini, Volkswagen Group, ING, Koolen Industries and Engie.
