08/09/23 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 5 September, Accountancy Europe, which represents European accountants, auditors and consultants, and Ecopreneur.eu, the European federation of sustainable enterprises, published a starting guide to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their sustainable transition. “SMEs, as the backbone of Europe’s economy, also have a key role to play. The transition poses challenges, but also offers opportunities”, the press release states. The guide has identified five steps to begin the transition: - contact experts, peers, information points and other stakeholders; - reflect on the company’s future vision; - map and prioritise information on sustainable development; - analyse, prioritise and reach out to the immediate value chain; - develop transformation targets and measures.
